Gas Alarms

Why do you need a chlorine gas alarm?

If you run a leisure facility, ensuring the very best health and safety around chlorine is incredibly important. Chlorine gas can be fatal, and because this toxic gas is heavier than air the presence of it may not always be immediately obvious to anyone entering an enclosed space.

Chlorine gas detectors play an important role in plant rooms, as they are used as a warning against the build-up of toxic gases and to protect your customers and staff. If the system malfunctions or experiences a problem, patrons and workers would be unprotected and this could be a complete safety disaster.

Chlorine is very difficult to detect due to its high reactivity, and if your plant room is subject to a potentially fatal and extremely harmful gas, this could be absolutely disastrous for your staff and members of your health or fitness club. However, with a chlorine gas alarm, this will monitor the presence of chlorine gas, and the detectors will be installed close to the points where chemicals may be mixed, or added into the dosing process, to provide as much warning as possible of a toxic atmosphere. By installing a gas alarm, you can not only ensure the safety of your workforce and patrons, but also prevent any unnecessary damage to your equipment and reduce any down time.

Gas alarm servicing & maintenance

The proper servicing and maintenance of your gas alarm system is incredibly important, as this is what is going to minimise any failures of your equipment, disruption, and significantly reduce delays during an emergency.
